St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church McKinney | Stonebridge Ranch Country Club Wedding | Dallas Wedding Photographer | Ashley+Rett
I immediately fell in love with Ashley and Rett when I met them, such a beautiful couple both inside and out! Ashley’s new year resolution was to meet one new person every week, which lead to adding Rett on Facebook through his sisters. Luckily, Rett accepted the friend request (who wouldn’t?), proposed in one of my favorite cities San Francisco, and that’s why we’re here today! Both from McKinney, the ceremony was at the beautiful St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in McKinney. Gorgeous stained glass with well designed open space, Ashley and Rett had a first touch to calm the nerves, which Rett told me afterwards that he was really glad they did it! Their reception was at the Stonebridge Ranch Country Club which served as an amazing backdrop even without any sunlight left when we arrived. Ashley chose gold, white and a dash of black as her wedding colors which created a really elegant look! Congratulations Ashley and Rett!

Addison Intimate Jewish Wedding | Dallas Wedding Photographer | Karen+Michael
When Karen and Michael told me there was going to be a total of 11 people including them at their wedding, I knew I was going to love it. Their intimate wedding was full of raw emotion, tears, joy, and laughter. Even I couldn’t hold back my smiles and tears during their toasts. I was touched and blessed that Karen and Michael said photography was one of their top priorities, but also excited they had so many other amazing details and personal touches! Karen had a gorgeous Vera Wang dress with a sophisticated built in sash, beautiful New Orleans inspired floral with Spanish moss from Fleurs De France Floral, delicious New Orleans food by Two Sisters Catering (the chicken was mouth watering!), and of course a ceremony with Marty from Love Notes Weddings is always full of surprises! Karen and Michael included many of their Jewish wedding traditions including the breaking of the glass and the Yichud. After their intimate and sweet ceremony, we headed over to Celestial park in Addison for some beautiful and romantic portraits. Christen at Salon Lucien did such an amazing job with Karen’s braided hair I just had to include a close up. All prettiness aside, I really enjoyed all the stories shared after dinner and the chance to document these lovely moments. We ended the night opening some gifts from Karen’s sister, which turned out to be gorgeous Korean fine art, some lovely dancing, and a backyard romantic portrait.

Marriott at Legacy Town Center Persian Wedding | Dallas Wedding Photographer | Roya+Jeffrey
Roya and Jeffrey are one of those awesome couples that instantly fell in love with my photography and had to have me for their wedding! As a matter of fact, Jeffrey told me it was love at first sight with Roya, even though Roya still doesn’t believe him up until this date because he was “playing it cool” and “hard to catch” after they first met. When Jeffrey finally made the move to study together at the University of North Texas library, they didn’t get any studying done that night and the rest was history, Jeffrey knew he had found the one. Roya and Jeffrey decided to unite both the American wedding ceremony and the Persian wedding ceremony at the luxury Marriott at Legacy Town Center in Plano, TX. The wedding ceremony had a beautifully designed Sofreh with tons of fabulous details and colors as the backdrop. I loved how joyful everyone was rubbing sugar over them during the Persian wedding ceremony. Honey feeding concluded the Persian wedding ceremony and they were officially married! The reception was also full of highlights including the entrance of the bridal party and the mesmerizing knife dance where Jeffrey had to pay his way to get the knife back. The Marriott’s very own Persian chef was amazing and the food was just so mouthwatering! It wasn’t your regular garter toss, because the groomsman who caught the garter was in for a big surprise. They blindfolded him and gave him front row seats to a beautiful belly dancer! It’s always great to work as a team with the fabulous Sweet Honey Films, so be on the lookout for their highlight video! Roya and Jeffrey wanted a photo with us, which always means a lot! We concluded the night with some dramatic romantic portraits. Stay tuned for their gorgeous day after session on the blog soon!
El Dorado Casitas Royale Wedding Day After | Riviera Maya, Mexico | Athena+Chase | Dallas Destination Wedding Photographer
If you haven’t got enough of the gorgeous wedding of Athena and Chase in Riviera Maya, here’s their day after session which took place at the luxurious side of the resort, El Dorado Casitas Royale! It was another beautiful evening in Riviera Maya, Mexico. We shot around their gorgeous honeymoon suite, hammock, and beach side bed before getting wet in the ocean. The ocean colors are just surreal with a nice blue and green mixture! Water was so clear you could easily identify fish swimming right around us. We got a little thirsty so we had a break with strawberry margaritas, don’t you wish all photo sessions had this? Our final moments were in the salt water pool, which was really cool and natural. You could actually feel some interesting habitation with your feet. Oh Riviera Maya, how I miss you. Can’t wait for next year’s Mexico destination weddings!
El Dorado Royale Wedding | Riviera Maya, Mexico | Athena+Chase | Dallas Destination Wedding Photographer
I love destination weddings. Not just because of the picturesque private beaches, gourmet inclusive meals, beach massages, and unlimited booze (although these do help!), but the raw emotions and the bonding between everyone I got to witness throughout the wedding. I spent a good three days with Athena and Chase’s group at the adult only resort El Dorado Royale in Riviera Maya, Mexico, and it felt like I was hanging out with one big family the entire time. The wedding day started out as a perfect sunny tropical day. Chase and his groomsmen had a nice blend of tan and beige on, and they were ready for some fun photos! I then ventured over to Athena’s room next to us at the El Dorado Casitas Royale, which was really far away, but luckily I flagged a golf cart and got a ride. Athena had lots of beautiful details including an “Athena” hanger, and she tied their rings with a teal ribbon in a beautiful metal seashell. I mentioned the day started out perfect and sunny, but right before the processional, we could feel the storm rolling in. Notice how bent the bridesmaid’s parasol was! It started pouring halfway through the wedding ceremony, so the ceremony was cut short. Crazy enough, the rain stopped immediately after the recessional! You just never know on a tropical beach, at least it made for some wedding portraits with dramatic skies! After some heart touching toasts, there was lots and lots of crazy dancing throughout the night. The highlight though was definitely when everyone decided to throw Chase in the pool, followed by Athena and Chase jumping in, and then everyone jumping in! I’m so blessed to be there and document this gorgeous and fun beach wedding. Be on the lookout for Athena and Chase’s day after session in the ocean on the blog soon, it’s going to be just as amazing…and wet!
Dallas Arts District+Addison Airport Engagement Session | Dallas Wedding Photographer | Heather+Zach
What happens when you mix fun, gorgeous, private jets, and spicy all together? Heather and Zach’s engagement session! We started the morning engagement session at the beautiful Dallas Arts District. Heather and Zach had lots of cute signs including their wedding date for us to play with! Of course we got a really nice and posed BIG shot, but I love capturing what happens after “my” shot since that’s when the real moments happen! After wrapping up the Dallas Arts District at one of my favorites, the Nasher Sculpture Center, we headed to the highlight of the session at the Addison airport. While we were taking some fabulous photos on the runway, we were lucky enough to capture some with a plane in motion! I’m just going to say shooting an engagement session with some private jets is awesome. I can’t wait for their wedding in Cancun, Mexico next year, it sure is going to be a big party with some beautiful photos!!
Highland Park Engagement Session | Dallas Wedding Photographer | Abigail+Chadwick
Abigail and Chadwick are my first Charlotte, North Carolina couple and they sure are gorgeous! They both love high fashion and dressing up nicely (Abigail’s shoes are to die for!), so the Highland Park Village and downtown Dallas were the perfect locations for their engagement session! Abigail and Chadwick also brought along their cute little Chihuahua family member, and if you’ve been following my blog long enough, you’ll know that I just love it when couples bring their furry little friends! Besides their good looks, they’re also tons of fun and we ended up with a lot of fun and goofy photos. Can’t wait for their wedding at the Adolphus next year, it’s going to be amazing!!
Modesto California Wedding | Destination Wedding Photographer | Terry+Socheat
I’m so excited to share this beautiful destination wedding of Terry and Socheat in sunny Modesto, California! I thought I was in for a trip to a cool and breezy destination, but we actually spent lots of time shooting in 109 degrees, which happened to be hotter than Texas! Despite the brutal heat wave, we still managed to capture many great moments including the touching first look and gorgeous outdoor portraits. In fact, be on the lookout for a fusion first look and private vows with video and photos! We headed to the school where they met, California State University Stanislaus, the perfect location for their romantic portraits! Their beautiful outdoor ceremony was held at the Courtyard by Marriott in Modesto, California. Terry changed into several stunning traditional Cambodian dresses throughout the night, each with amazing details of their own. As we were rounding the tables, Socheat definitely had his fair share of whiskey. Socheat’s also my first groom to totally pass out and want to head home early. Luckily the groomsmen and beautiful bride helped him along the way to hang in there, recover and get him back out on the dance floor where we danced the night away! I’m so blessed and lucky that y’all flew me out to California to capture your day, I had such a blast!
Artspace 111 Wedding | Fort Worth Wedding Photographer | Ashley+Chris
Beautiful, fun and crazy are what comes to mind when I look at Ashley and Chris’s amazing wedding photos! It was pouring rain in the morning when we started getting ready, but luckily the sky cleared up and it turned out to be a perfect day for their wedding! Ashley’s yellow shoes and yellow flowers worked with the grey bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen suits to create the perfect grey and yellow wedding accentuating the unique landscape of Artspace 111 in Fort Worth. A first look with a little teasing and fun but ended romantically really portrays Ashley and Chris’s relationship. Greenery mixed with unique sculptures tied in with the canopy of trees served as a gorgeous backdrop for their outdoor wedding ceremony. The dog lover in me just loved how they had their Australian Shepherd as the ring bearer! The whole wedding reception was outdoors with pretty string lights and they partied like crazy all night long! Thanks again for having me at your wedding Ashley and Chris, I’m so glad I always sat in the back for organic chemistry class!
